Q: Where is the flat located?

A: The flat is located south east portion of the inner ring of the city of Amsterdam. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood on the canals with incredible views. It is within walking distance to the performing arts center, one of the oldest zoos in Europe, the botanical gardens, many museums and art exhibits.

Q: Why is Holland a great place to visit?

A: Holland is a place rich with history, art, flowers, cheese and wonderful people! Known for their efficiency and engineering, Holland serves as one of the major shipping ports within Europe and is a great centrally located country for visiting Great Britain, Germany, France, Belgium and other countries in Europe.

Q: Do the Dutch speak English?

A: Yes, although Dutch is the native language, most of Holland speaks English as a second language, and speak very well.

Q: Do I need to rent a car?

A: No, if you arrive by airplane to Schipol you can take a train to Centraal Station and then walk to the flat. By train you will also arrive at Centraal Station. Everything else is within walking distance once you arrive or you can take one of the many water taxis on the beautiful canals that traverse the city.

Q: How much do I tip?

A: In The Netherlands, Value Added Tax and service charges are included in your check in hotels, shops and taxis. Unlike in the US, this is even the case for your restaurant check. Tips for extra service are always appreciated but not necessary. It is customary to give taxi drivers and waiters a tip of about 10%.
